Current students registered for an upcoming or current term can request a financial schedule hold to allow them more time to pay their bill and prevent cancellation of their class schedule. Only students may complete the form and request a hold.  Any holds granted do not apply to interim or study abroad semester hours and students must have a definite way to pay to be approved. 

To request a hold, please complete the Schedule Hold Request form.

Please make sure to include:

  • When you expect to be able to pay,
  • Why you need more time to pay,
  • If you applied for aid or a loan, the date you completed the application, and
  • Any other information you feel supports your request.

Upon submission of this form, the request will be reviewed and the student will receive an email notification (to the @crimson.ua.edu email address) of the decision.  To ensure adequate time for review, the hold must be requested at least one business day prior to the bill due date.
